Santorum: "We Are Not Done Fighting"

MSNBC and various news sources have confirmed that GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum has suspended his White House bid.

Santorum, accompanied by members of his family and campaign staff, told reporters at an event in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, that he and his family spent last weekend thinking about the campaign, their young daughter, Bella, and her on-going battle with Trisomy 18. 

"Ladies and gentleman, we made the decision to get into this race at our kitchen table against all the odds. We made a decision over the weekend that while this presidential race for us is over, we will suspend our campaign effective today. We are not done fighting," said Santorum.

Veterans March in Support of Ron Paul

Mainstream News Organizations Provide No Coverage of Event

After receiving numerous phone calls, From The G-Man followed up on reports that the majority of mainstream news organizations in America failed to provide coverage of hundreds of former and current service members that marched to the White House in support of GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul. 

The march, which took place on February 20, President's Day, received brief mention on an ABC News blog, but not on the network. Moreover, ABC News had to issue a public apology and retraction on its website after reporting that only a few dozen veterans were on hand for the event, when there were actually hundreds.

Congressman Paul has bitterly complained for months that news analysts and organizations have not treated him fairly and have purposely sought to downplay his candidacy -- after reporting that Paul has virtually no chance of winning the GOP nomination.  

Published reports have indicated that Paul receives more campaign contributions from active and retired members of the military than any other candidate in the GOP field and President Obama. 

"RT", a Russian news network that provides around-the-clock national and international coverage in English, was one of the few news venues to showcase the march.

"Nu-Nu" Dodged Hypocrite Question Posed by FOX News' Chris Wallace  

I'm going to get straight to the point. What I'm about to say will anger many in the country, especially if they're Republicans or so-called conservatives, and I really couldn't care less! I've reached a boiling point after watching 2012 presidential candidate Newt "Nu-Nu" Gingrich receive two standing ovations by supporters at debates in South Carolina. Enough is enough, damn it! 

The first ovation came after Nu-Nu laid into Fox News analyst Juan Williams for posing several questions involving the issue of race. It was bad enough that attendees booed Williams during his line of questioning, but the event took a turn for the worst when Nu-Nu proclaimed, yet again, that President Barack Obama is a "food stamp president" and that people on food stamps are lazy and lack ambition, integrity and a strong work ethic. If the mainstream media wasn't so cowardly and allowed me to tell my story, I would open up a can of whoop-ass on Gingrich on this subject. 

Critics stated that Juan Williams got his ass handed to him by Gingrich at the first South Carolina debate. I strongly disagree and give Williams a standing ovation for his courage. To use a biblical analogy, Williams was Daniel in the lion's den, and he knew this would be the case going into the debate because -- much to the chagrin of many white people in the audience -- he planned to address the issue of race. If Nu-Nu has a problem with certain questions being directed at presidential candidates, then his fat ass shouldn't be running for office. Period! He'd be better served spending his time stocking up on "Just for Men". 

Given that his comments are always targeted at people in the inner cities, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the former Speaker of the House is talking about people of color, namely Blacks. Hey, Nu-Nu? I'm in New York City. Did you know that even Russian and Hasidic Jews receive welfare benefits? Would the comments you made at the South Carolina debate apply to them as well? If so, The G-Man is calling you out in front of the nation. I dare you to publicly state that your comments apply to them, too. Come on, Nu-Nu! Dance with me! They're playing our song..."Ebony and Ivory". 

Nu-Nu pounded the podium like the "Great White Hope" that so many conservatives hope to have in the Oval Office in 2013: a man that will transform the country from a "welfare state" and get those no-good, rowdy, pants hangin' off their ass, shiftless, so-called welfare kings and queens (code name for Black people) and entitlement spending under control.

In my view, the people that gave Nu-Nu the standing ovation for his food stamp/lazy minorities comments share the same warped ideology, and they're all a bunch of fools because you can't understand the concept or hell that is welfare unless you've experienced it. 

Contrary to what Nu-Nu and his minions think, welfare is a nightmare from which hundreds of thousands are trying to awaken or escape. I guarantee you that if half the country was on welfare, people would have a greater level of respect for those that have to deal with a system that is completely out of control. Trust me on that.   

Like his peer Williams, John King, host of the CNN GOP debate that took place last night, showed that he had a pair the size of grapefruits and challenged Nu-Nu from the word go. King asked about an interview that Gingrich's ex-wife had done with ABC News and he was severely rebuked in the process. Nu-Nu proclaimed that he was "appalled" and that the question had no place in a presidential debate. This time, the conservative fools stood and applauded their "Great Moral Leader": a man that stood before them and the nation as a shining example of honor, integrity and truth. By the way, these are the same low-life conservatives that repeatedly and viciously attacked former President Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.  

Speaking of the Lewinsky scandal, Nu-Nu led the charge to have President Clinton removed from office. Remember that? Well, I decided to dig into the archives and ended up finding something that Nu-Nu will hate and Democrats will absolutely love. I found a video, and in the video FOX News anchor Chris Wallace poses a key question to Gingrich during an interview. Nu-Nu's response is very interesting....and telling.

America, check out the video tape. Conservatives, ask yourself this question: Is this the type of conservative that we want to not only take on President Barack Obama in 2012, but represent the GOP?

Mainstream Media, Do Your Damn Job!

Ron Paul Attacked on Race, While "Nu-Nu", "Lyle", "Big Tex" and "Lady Blah-Blah" Get a Free Pass

Recent news reports indicated that GOP/Libertarian  presidential candidate Ron Paul walked out of a CNN interview after reporter Gloria Borger questioned him about racist articles that were published in Paul's newsletters over 20 years ago. Paul has repeatedly claimed that he has no idea who submitted the articles or that he had prior knowledge of the inflammatory content. 

Prior to Paul storming out of the interview, he told Borger that the reason the newsletter is still a point of controversy is "because of people like you". The Texas representative may have a point. However, the fact remains that he bolted from the interview segment faster that a New York lobbyist headed to Washington, D.C. That did not and will not serve him well going forward, especially with Black voters who may want to support him but have serious concerns about the newsletter content. 

Ron Paul supporters, as you would suspect, are furious that their political savior is being attacked on this issue. Moreover, because Paul has surged in the Iowa polls, his supporters view the attacks as a blatant attempt to discredit the Texas legislator and his candidacy. Many of them also believe that the loyal Libertarian is under attack because GOP leaders would rather see Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, or Mitt Romney as the potential nominee. Ron Paul supporters may also have a point. 

Borger and other media representatives have a responsibility, to the institution that is journalism and concerned voters, to pose important questions and ride any presidential candidate like a Harley Davidson until they get an answer. I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a major problem with is when the mainstream media treats other candidates differently when they, too, have been caught up in controversies regarding race. 

It is a well-known fact that Newt "Nu-Nu" Gingrich made many controversial remarks about Blacks and others during his political career and was never really pressed on the issue. Nu-Nu is still doing it and still getting away with it, thanks to the punks, sellouts and corporate whores in media.

Romney, aka Lyle Wagner from the "Carol Burnett Show", staunchly defended Mormonism when the late, great Tim Russert called him out over the fact that Blacks were not allowed to become priests until 1978. Still, there was no mention of this during any of the GOP debates and every news organization, especially NBC, should be ashamed of themselves.

An argument could be made that the decision to allow Blacks to finally become priest was not based on "a revelation" from God", as indicated by a church official, but the fact that President Jimmy Carter was on the verge of pulling the church's tax exempt status because of its controversial policy. It wouldn't surprise me, in the least, if the latter -- no pun intended -- was the real reason behind the church's decision. Politics is a bitch.

Rick "Big Tex" Perry got stuck in "Niggerhead", and there was no way out of that one. That was a story that screamed to be followed-up on, primarily because numerous elected officials knew about the name of the ranch and still chose to attend events hosted by the Texas governor. 

The story was spun to focus on what Perry knew and when he knew it, but the real story involved finding out how many well-known elected officials -- particularly those who represent predominately Black districts -- blatantly disregarded the ranch's name and showed up for a weekend of fun and frolic with Big Tex. Perry, like Nu-Nu and Romney, were simply allowed to pass "Go" and collect campaign contributions....with the help of mainstream media.

Even Michele Bachmann, aka "Lady Blah-Blah", has made comments that would make journalism icon Edward R. Murrow leap from the grave and exclaim, "What the hell?!!" 

From The G-Man does not and will not endorse candidates, and this was not written to provide a "push" for Paul's campaign. It was written in order to hold the mainstream media accountable and to make sure they hold every political candidate to the same standard. This has not been happening, and it's a major reason why journalists are loathed and the public is becoming fed up with the two-party system. 

Go ahead, mainstream media. Continue to attack Ron Paul on the issue of race and give other candidates a free pass. Go ahead! I dare you! You do so at your own peril and run the risk of looking even more incompetent, inconsistent and incorrigible than you do now.

Newt Gingrich, Palin, Conservative Media and Their Blatant Disregard for Black Voters

"Meet the Press" and Others Are Right to Question "Food Stamp President" Comment

Aw! Poor Newt Gingrich. The political dinosaur is all upset because he felt David Gregory of "Meet the Press" (MTP) set him up with a blistering series of questions regarding healthcare last Sunday. Get a damn grip, Newt!

If that wasn't bad enough, Gingrich then took offense to Gregory's line of questioning about a comment made at a recent appearance by the former Speaker of the House -- a comment where he referred to President Barack Obama as "a food stamp president".

The mainstream media has been all over Gingrich ever since his disastrous MTP appearance. On May 18, the MSNBC show "Morning Joe" exposed the growing backlash against Gingrich when it aired footage of an Iowa man pleading with Gingrich to get out of the presidential race before he further embarrasses himself.

Prior to this, the man was heard describing the "Contract with America" author as "an embarrassment to the Republican Party". Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough, as well as other panelists, couldn't contain his laughter during the entire segment. I was laughing long before the Iowa man ever uttered a word to Gingrich.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before "Newtie-G" would do or say something to make fellow Republican politicians and voters say, "Oh, hell-to-the-no!" You folks have to understand something: people like Gingrich can't help themselves. They're stuck in a warped pattern of thinking and scripted comments, which often leads to their political downfall. Their egos, financial status, and quest for power in its ultimate form -- the presidency -- are what drives them and forces Republicans and Democrats across the country to ask, "Is this the best we can do?"

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more bizarre, in comes Palin, the prime-time princess of politics, to add a bitter cherry on top of the bland, Newtie-G sundae. Palin proclaimed that MTP and Gregory conspired to set Gingrich up by asking a 'racially-tinged' question. Hey, Princess Pay-Pay? Do us all a favor and go sit in a corner and scratch your ass. People are too busy analyzing real presidential candidates to entertain anything your clown-ass has to say. Now, now.... don't cry. Just get to scratching.

I have something to say to every person that was upset over MTP's and Gregory's alleged mistreatment of Gingrich. Get over it! This man is trying to obtain the highest political seat in the country, and every news anchor and outlet should hold him and other candidates accountable for what they say and do. If they get mad and decide to throw a tantrum, too damn bad. Grill'em!! Grill'em like a fat, disgustingly-juicy sirloin!

The next few lines are for Gingrich. You opened up this can, now you're going to eat it all. Dude, what the hell is your problem? You're not some Washington, D.C. new-jack. You've been in the game long enough to know cowards and punk-asses need not apply for the position of Commander-in-Chief.

You're not stupid. You know tough people are going to ask tough questions. Stop whining like a little, gray-haired, Aqua-Velva-wearing baby. Just bite your lip and answer the damn questions. If you can't handle that, then you need to take the advice of that voter you encountered in Iowa. Seriously!

In closing, I want to invite every so-called conservative news anchor, analyst, commentator and pundit to a political card game. Have a seat and use the coasters for your beer, please. Put the cigar out, Limbaugh! Okay, the game is called "Play the Race Card". Don't look so surprised....or scared. It'll be a hoot.

Ready? Okay, I'm dealing the race cards. Aw, damn! You lost already! Why? Two reasons. First, you all defended Gingrich while completely ignoring the fact that food stamps -- aka welfare -- have been an unfair and unfortunate stereotype linked to the majority of Black people in this country for decades. Even if you don't support that school of thought, you have friends and associates -- in and out of the newsroom environment -- that do. Don't deny it or play stupid.

Secondly, you all failed to realize that Black people, more than any other race in this country, had a vested interest in wanting to know exactly what the former Speaker of the House meant when he referenced President Obama -- the first Black president -- in that way. If Gingrich expects support from the Black community, he'd better do a better job of explaining what the hell he meant. Period! Every intelligent conservative and political strategist in America knows this.

David Gregory and MTP had every right to ask Gingrich about the food stamp comment, and any news representative or organization that avoids pressing Gingrich on the issue will be displaying a blatant disregard and disrespect for many concerned Black voters, be they Republican or Democrat, as the presidential election of 2012 draws near.

By the way, if you folks were wondering about the winning hand I had in that race card game with the conservatives, I won with five of a kind. They were all spades.
