The twin teenage brothers in the back seat of a car that was fired
upon by a Texas officer now charged with murder said in an interview
that as they were driving away all they "heard was a cop start shooting
the car."
The front seat passenger, 15-year-old Jordan
Edwards, was shot in the head and killed, and now-former Balch Springs
police officer Roy Oliver has been charged with murder in the April 29
incident near a party.
"We were just kids leaving a party. We
shouldn't have to fear the police when our parents teach us to respect
them," passenger Maximus Everette, 15, told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth in an interview that aired Monday. So I don't see why they would fear just kids leaving a party."
