National Security Advisor Susan Rice
met today with Indian Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at the White
House.
Ambassador Rice and Foreign Secretary Jaishankar affirmed their
commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation on climate change, trade, and
defense, and noted preparations for the upcoming Nuclear Security Summit.
They also discussed U.S.-India collaboration against Lashkar-e-Tayyiba,
Jaish-e-Mohammed, and other terrorist threats. Building on their leaders’
commitment to make the U.S.-India partnership a defining relationship for the
21st Century, they agreed to deepen their
already close collaboration on these issues.
