Albany - Boaters and anglers should be cautious around the
Hudson River for the next several days after torrential rains over the
weekend unleashed another around of municipal sewage spills into the
Hudson River.
Systems from Albany, Troy, Cohoes and
Rensselaer discharged about four million gallons of raw sewage combined
into the river, according to reports filed by those cities with the
state Department of Environmental Conservation.
The spills were caused after the region was hit Saturday by about three-quarters of an inch of rain.
