Notable inventions: The Incineraid system, Focus Flow Heat Sink, and industrial paint spray
Gourdine
has been praised as a pioneer researcher and for creating
electrogasdynamics—the generation of electrical energy from the
conversion of the kinetic energy contained in a high-pressure, ionized,
moving combustion gas. His most popular creation, the Incineraid system,
was used to banish smoke from burning buildings and fog from airport
runways. Adding to his legacy, he would also create the Focus Flow Heat
Sink, a device that cooled down computer chips.
