Senator Addabbo Announces Capital Improvements for Rockaway Health Care Facilities

New York State Department of Health awarded 92 projects a total of $491.2 million of the funding available, 20 percent or $98.9 million of which was awarded specifically to projects in New York City.

“This program will help bring much needed improvements to medical facilities in my district, here in Queens,” Addabbo said.
The Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, Inc. is a federally qualified community health center established in 1987 to provide comprehensive health services to impoverished and medically underserved residents of Queens.

Rockaway Care Center is a residential health care facility that offers compassionate car and rehabilitation to the elderly, convalescent, handicapped or chronically ill.

"Thank you to the New York State Department of Health and the 2017 Statewide Health Care Facilities Transformation Program (SHCFTP) for awarding roughly $8.9 million to help fund improvements to hospitals and care centers in my district," Addabbo said. "The additional funding will help fund improvements to Health care facilities in the Rockaways and throughout South Queens."
