NEW
YORK, NY — On Friday, July 14th at 11 a.m., leaders from the National
Action Network (NAN) will join the faith community and elected officials
from across New York City to participate in a press conference,
speaking out against the Mayor's Office of Special Enforcement's
collusion with the hotel-funded lobby group ShareBetter to target
ordinary everyday New Yorkers for criminalization.
The conference will be held at the Department of Investigation’s Complaint Bureau on 80 Maiden Lane.
The leaders will call on the Department of Investigation (DOI), the District Attorney, and the New York Attorney General to launch a full, formal investigation into ShareBetter’s aggressive campaign to spy on ordinary New Yorkers who are using home sharing platforms, like Airbnb, to earn extra income.

According
to recent media reports, the Mayor’s Office of Special Enforcement is
using information gathered through ShareBetter’s outrageous tactics as
the basis for targeted enforcement actions against individuals.
