In honor of MLK Day, Senator James Sanders Jr. hosted an exciting debate
on the Obama administration, posing the question of whether it was
fruitful or fruitless.
Senator Sanders along with Dr. Lessie Branch
argued the fruitless side, citing the decrease in black wealth, income,
retirement and home ownership for African-Americans under Obama, along
with an increase in poverty.
The fruitful side was argued by Dr. Dierdre
Cooper-Owens and the Rev. Dr. Alfonso Wyatt who cited improvements for
the country in the areas of healthcare, the economy and the environment.
The audience decided the winner and concluded it was a tie. The
moderator was Dr. Ron Daniels.
This is Part 1 of several other videos that are available on the senator's YouTube channel.
