Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton delivered remarks at a
campaign event in Warren, Michigan. She outlined her economic policies
and job-creation proposals, saying that her opponent, Donald Trump,
offered a pessimistic view of America and had not offered any “credible
solutions” on tackling the economy. Regarding trade, Secretary Clinton
said she would oppose any deal that takes advantage of American workers,
including the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), and that she would
appoint a chief trade prosecutor who could impose targeted tariffs on
countries who break the law.
