A 10-year-old boy who asked to mow lawns to pay for his school supplies is part of a disturbing trend in America.
Tyran Bell, a 10-year-old from North Carolina, used his mother’s Facebook page to request money for school supplies in exchange for mowing lawns.
Since then, donations have poured in for the ambitious 10-year-old, according to WECT.
Local business A1 Security Services LLC started a donations page for Tyran.
“He’s 10 years old. And for a 10-year-old to take that initiative and
want to help his mom because she was struggling, I just thought that
was amazing,” said A1 Security Services LLC President Theresa Babb.
Tyran says he’s going to use the donated supplies to ensure that all the kids in his community have their needs met as well.
