A statewide toy, coat and school supplies holiday giving drive has been launched to benefit families in need throughout New York.
"New Yorkers have a long tradition of supporting those in need, especially during the holidays,” Governor Cuomo said.
"I encourage all New Yorkers to celebrate in that same spirit by
keeping our less fortunate neighbors in mind and pitching in to help
make this a happy holiday season for everyone."
The Office of General Services has set up
drop-off locations across the state for businesses and individuals to
bring the toys, coats and school supplies, which will be distributed to
families in underserved communities throughout New York. The drop-off
locations will be collecting donations from Friday, November 27 to Friday, December 18.
