Twenty schools in New York State are being recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for overall excellence with a National Blue Ribbon designation.
This year, 342 schools in 44 states were named "Exemplary High
Performing Schools" for setting high standards and creating safe
learning environments while challenging students to achieve.
Seven of the 20 Blue Ribbon schools in New York are from districts
across the Upstate region.
