There's a big geographic variation in cancer deaths in New York state.
State data shows residents of Schuyler County, for example, are about 1 1/2 times more likely to die of cancer than residents of Queens County.
This slideshow shows counties with the highest and lowest cancer death rates. It also breaks out cancer death rates for counties in Central New York.
It begins with counties with the lowest cancer death rates.
The slideshow is based on state Health Department data that shows death rates per 100,000 population for all types of cancer for the years 2010 through 2012.
