An outspoken Manhattan federal
prosecutor known for crusading against public corruption said Saturday
that he was fired from his post after refusing to step down.

Attorney Preet Bharara said in a tweet Saturday that he did not comply
with Attorney General Jeff Sessions' request to resign along with other
prosecutors appointed by former President Barack Obama. Bharara said in
the tweet he was fired Saturday.
