Jay Z Is Using His New TV & Film Deal With Weinstein Company To Showcase Black Stories

Hip-hop Mogul Jay Z aka Shawn Carter recently signed a a two-year overall deal with the prestigious Weinstein Company to produce TV and film projects and the first project he is releasing will hit home to many Black men who have survived going to prison unjustly.

His first project is called Time: The Kalief Browder Story about 16-year-old Kalief Browder who spent three years on Riker’s Island without ever being convicted of a crime. This will be a six-part television series with Spike TV.
