Former National Security Agency (NSA) attorney Susan Hennessey talked
about the privacy issues raised over the FBI’s demand that Apple turn
over encrypted data hidden on the iPhone used by one of the shooters in
the San Bernardino, California, terrorist attack. Topics included ways
to address the conflict legislatively, existing law that allows the FBI
to get access to encrypted information, and the issues and concerns that
Congress should address on this subject.
