Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter discussed his cancer diagnosis from
the Carter Center in Atlanta. He said that melanoma which first occurred
in his liver has now spread to his brain, and that he begins treatment
today. He took questions from reporters, and talked about his plans
going forward. President Carter said he trusts his doctors and will
follow their advice for treatment, and that he is at ease.
