The rebel leadership in Syria remains fragmented, despite claims by the new rebel joint command that they control eighty per cent of fighters. The prominent Free Syrian Army has not yet declared whether or not it will join the group. From his present base within a refugee camp in Turkey, the FSA commander Riad Mousa al-Asaad, the commander of the Free Syrian Army, responded to criticisms of the FSA.
