Syrian Army Shells Towns in Idlib Province

Several explosions and heavy fighting overnight has rocked the Syrian capital Damascus, activists said. Syrian officials said a car was blown up near an intelligence compound in Harasta and another blast was reported in the Jobar area of Damascus. In the city of Homs, President Bashar Al-Assad's forces advanced into the rebel-held Khalidiya neighborhood for the first time in months. And activists claim Idlib province has suffered the heaviest shelling since the uprising began. Al Jazeera's Jamal Elshayyal reports.
