Bronx Showcase: The Banquet of Hispanic Ministers

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
By Councilman Rev. Ruben Diaz
District 18 Bronx County, New York

You should know that on Saturday, April 14, the Annual Banquet of the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization will be held.

It is important that you know this Banquet, which will take place from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., will be held at the Maestros Caterers Restaurant, located at 1703 Bronxdale Avenue in the Bronx.

As they have done every year for the past 30 years, bishops, pastors, evangelists, lay people and community leaders will meet and join the board of directors in celebrating the largest social event of Hispanic evangelicals in the metropolitan area.

More than 800 people have already confirmed their attendance, and officials and elected leaders are expected to attend. Acknowledgements will be given to five distinguished members of the Hispanic clergy: Rev. Roberto J. Lopez, Rev. Meily De Olmo, Rev. Oscar Giron, Lic. Maria L. Rifa de Wally and Rev. Dr. Fermin Medina.

The Organization of Hispanic Ministers of New York meets every Thursday at 9 a.m. in the classrooms of the Christian Community Church, 1437 Longfellow Ave (between Jennings Street and Freeman Avenues) in the Bronx. Everyone is invited to participate in our weekly meetings.

I am Councilman Rev. Rubén Díaz and this is what you should know.
