President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama deliver remarks at the
2016 Easter Egg Roll event, held on the White House’s South Lawn.
This year is the 138th annual Easter Egg Roll! Presidents and First
Ladies have invited generations of Americans to their backyard to enjoy
concerts, activities and of course, see the Easter Bunny. Over the
years, the Easter Egg Roll has changed quite a bit -- we don’t use real
eggs after a bit of a stink during the Nixon years – and all families,
no matter who you are, where you come from, or who you love, are
welcomed to roll on the lawn! Explore how the White House Easter Egg
Roll has evolved over the years to become more inclusive for all
Americans.
