A three-year-long investigation on Transfigura revealed that there is "clear evidence that at least part of the decision-making process on export of the waste from Europe and delivery to Abidjan emanated from London." The probe could make it possible for UK prosecutors to pursue a case against the multinational firm. Three years ago, Transfigura paid out 45 million dollars in compensation, and a Dutch court found them guilty of illegally exporting waste. Al Jazeera's Rory Challands reports from London.
