President Offers Condolences to Bulgarian Prime Minister
President Obama spoke with Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov today to express his condolences for Wednesday’s terrorist attack that killed Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver in Burgas, Bulgaria. The President reiterated his condemnation of the barbaric attack. He offered his support for the ongoing investigation, and for the Bulgarian people in this challenging time. The leaders discussed the strong partnership and excellent counter-terrorism cooperation between the United States and Bulgaria, and the President expressed his appreciation for Bulgaria’s important contributions as a NATO member to international peace and security.
