Earlier this year New Heritage
Theatre Group produced its Harlem Shakespeare Festival's all-female
Othello, which was presented by Southwest Shakespeare Company in Phoenix. The theatre company is now nominated for three BroadwayWorld Regional Awards.
The nominees are: Debra Ann Byrd, Best Actress for Othello, Natalie Andrews, Best Supporting Actress for Desdemona, and Southwest Shakespeare, Best Play for all-female Othello.
