On May 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the New York State Division of Human Rights Acting Commissioner Angela
Fernandez will speak at the “Fighting Workplace Age Discrimination”
conference in Manhattan.
Panelists and conference partners, which include the
Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging, the U.S. Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission and the Transition Network, will discuss
protections against age discrimination under federal, state and local
laws. Strategies for combating age discrimination will also be discussed.
The conference will be held at the Silberman Building – Hunter College, 2180 Third Avenue, Room 115A-B.
