C-SPAN Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters at the State Department
that the Trump administration would withhold funding from any
non-governmental organizations which provided funding for or lobbied in
favor of abortions. He said it was a policy designed “to protect human
beings.” He also answered questions on the president’s recognition of
Israel’s sovereignty claim over the Golan Heights, and the treatment of
Uighur Muslims by China.
