WASHINGTON
— Jon Stewart, no fan of President Trump, on Sunday stuck by his praise
for the Trump administration’s handling of the cash-strapped program
that aids ill and dying 9/11 responders.
“The Trump Justice Department is doing a good job running the Sept. 11 Victim Compensation Fund,” Stewart told the Daily News.
Stewart
spoke after Trump on Sunday night retweeted a supporter’s post of video
showing Stewart praising the Justice Department’s handing of the fund.
