A Southern Poverty Law Center investigation has revealed that Washington state Rep. Matt Shea
has donated surplus campaign funds to far-right extremist groups in
Colorado and Arizona.
Shea is a vocal supporter of the anti-public lands
extremist movement and is closely affiliated with members of the
militia movement. He has also formed a chapter of ACT for America, an
anti-Muslim hate group. State election officials are investigating
possible violations of state law.
