ALBANY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday that he can't look into
possible improprieties related to $400,000 in donations to his campaign
that are under federal probe because such action could "interfere" with
the ongoing investigation into the donor, Crystal Run Healthcare.
"You can't do an internal investigation when
you have an ongoing criminal investigation, because that would interfere
with the ongoing investigation," Cuomo told reporters at a press event
in Queens. "If the ongoing investigation finds any fraud, then as we've
always done, we will return the donations."
