Actor, activist, and former NFL player Terry Crews was among the witnesses at a Senate Judiciary Committee
hearing on the implementation of the sexual assault Survivors' Bill of
Rights Act of 2016. Mr. Crews told lawmakers his story of being a sexual
assault victim. Mr. Crews appeared before the President Obama signed
the bill into law in October 2016. Others testifying included a rape
victim who helped author the Survivors' Bill of Rights Act of 2016 and
the principal deputy director of the National Institute of Justice.
