Einstein is often portrayed as a fuzzy-minded genius. In fact, he was a
committed peace activist and champion of racial equality.
Einstein
befriended Paul Robeson, Marian Anderson and W.E.B. DuBois. He also
opposed the House Un-American Activities Committee. As a result, he was
stalked by the FBI.
