Mayor de Blasio is defending the “indefensible” by sticking by a NYCHA
chair who has “lied not once but twice” about the lead paint crisis,
Public Advocate Letitia James said Sunday.
James again called for chairwoman Shola Olatoye to get the boot after
revelations that she made false statements while testifying under oath
before the City Council about lead paint inspections.
“She lied not once, but twice, and she did it under oath, and it’s a
very serious offense,” James said Sunday on the John Catsimatidis AM 970
radio show. “What we need is leadership changes.”
