WASHINGTON -- Fort Drum commanders and U.S. military officials say
they are investigating a soldier who shared photos with pro-communist
messages under his uniform, and tweeted his support for NFL quarterback
Colin Kaepernick's racial equality protests.
The photos posted on Twitter this week by 2nd Lt. Spenser
Rapone show him at his West Point graduation in May with a message under
his cap stating, "Communism will win." He used the hashtag, "Veterans
for Kaepernick."
A second photo Monday on Twitter shows Rapone with a Che Guevara
T-shirt under his uniform and the message, "In case there was any
lingering doubt, hasta la victoria siempre."
