The Flint, Michigan, Water Crisis

 
Marc Edwards, an environmental and water resources engineering professor at Virginia Tech University, talked about his involvement in the investigation of lead contamination of the water supply in Flint, Michigan, as well as the scientific research that helped attract national attention to the problem. Other topics included the current status of drinking water in the city; who is to blame for the contamination; the roles of local, state, and federal governments; and the long-term effects of lead contamination on the human body.
