House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations members spoke to reporters about their report on the investigation into to the collapse of MF Global which found that then chief executive officer Jon Corzine played a significant role in the company’s demise. Other findings included poor company internal controls, record-keeping and accounting procedures. The report also cited regulatory community negligence in spotting signs of trouble and communicating with each other.
