Former San Diego Chargers superstar Junior Seau was found dead in his Oceanside, California, home on Wednesday. He was 43.
According to Police Chief Frank McCoy, Seau's body was discovered by his girlfriend. He was unconscious and suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. McCoy also indicated that a gun was found in close proximity to the body and that the possible cause of death was suicide.
Seau was selected to the Pro Bowl 12 times and spent most of his career with the Chargers. He was eventually traded to the Miami Dolphins and ended his career with an appearance in the 2007 Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.
