City first Lady Chirlane McCray said Sunday that the U.S. Senate’s
decision allowing states to block family planning funds to Planned
Parenthood was made by men who are “the champions of this misogyny.”
“I don’t know how they can look their wives, their sisters, their
mothers in the eye after doing this, because when women are denied a
basic service like this, you know, they suffer, their families suffer,
our communities suffer,” McCray said in an interview with WABC radio’s
“Election Central with Rita Cosby.”
