Federica Mogherini, the European Union’s Chief Foreign Policy
representative, delivered remarks in the European Parliament on
President Trump’s executive order on refugees and immigrants. Following
her remarks, several party leaders condemned the American president’s
decision and advocated the rights of refugees. Former U.K. Independence
Party Leader Nigel Farage, who sits as a member of the European
Parliament and led the campaign for the U.K. to leave the European
Union, commended President Trump and said he was doing what he was
elected to do, and proposed that the European Parliament invite him for
an open dialogue.
