Family of Eric Garner to Support Family of Terence Crutcher at NAN Gathering

On September 24, at 9:30 a.m., the family of Eric Garner will join the Rev. Al Sharpton at the National Action Network headquarters in effort to show their support for the relatives of Terrence Crutcher.

The family of Terence Crutcher, the unarmed African American man killed by a Tulsa, Oklahoma, police officer, along with their attorneys Benjamin L. Crump and Damario Solomon Simmons, joined Rev. Sharpton at NAN’s House of Justice on Thursday, September 22, to call for a National Day of Justice in Tulsa next Tuesday, September 27

While the officer has been charged and Rev. Sharpton has said this is a swift step in the right direction, NAN looks forward to a further investigation of all the officers at the scene when this tragedy occurred and knowing whether the conduct of these other officers will be subject to disciplinary actions or legal proceedings.

Furthermore, NAN intends to launch a fundraising drive for the children of Terence Crutcher.

NAN headquarters is located at 106 West 145th Street at Malcolm X Blvd. Statements from Rev. Sharpton and the Garner family will be broadcast live on live on WLIB 1190 AM and livestreamed at www.nationalacctionnetwork.net.
