Happening in Harlem - Black Gay Life: An Exploration of Blackness, Masculinity, and Sexual Identity


On April 26 at 6 p.m., an intergenerational conversation will be held about identity and how Black gay men live in triple consciousness — Black, gay and male. 

The free event will be moderated by Emil Wilbekin, Founder of Native Son, with Marc Meachem, ViiV Healthcare; André D. Singleton, The Very Black Project; Cakes da Killa, rapper and artist; and Myles E. Johnson, critic and author.

ViiV Healthcare, Native Son and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture are presenting the event.
