"In the wake of the horrific terrorist attack that occurred today in Barcelona, it is with a heavy heart that I offer my thoughts and prayers to the victims of this cruel, tragic, and senseless act of violence. May God heal the wounds of all affected families and bring you healing. We send our appreciation to law enforcement and courageous persons who aided the injured in the wake of this tragedy. To the great people of Spain, we are with you. In these trying times, it is imperative to remember that we have strength in our unity, and we must not let this act of cowardice divide us. Barcelona, you are in all our hearts tonight.
