NY Elected Officials and Livery Taxi Leaders to Meet on Monday August 17


A meeting including elected officials and leaders of different organizations from the Livery and Green Car Taxi Industry will take place on Monday, August 17, 2015 starting at 9AM at the Christian Community Neighborhood Church located at 1437 Longfellow Avenue (between Jennings and Freeman Avenues) in Bronx County.  

According to Senator Diaz "This meeting is exclusive – by invitation only – to the leaders of organizations that deal with the taxi industry will hear from experts from all sides of the spectrum to discuss the current status of New York City’s efforts to cap the taxi industry and to see that it includes protection of the livery industry."

Among the elected officials who have confirmed their attendance are: State Senators Ruben Diaz and Adriano Espaillat, Assemblymembers Marcos Crespo, Luis Sepulveda and Victor Pichardo. NYC Taxi and Limousine Commissioner Merra Joshi has also confirmed her participation.
