Emerald Garner
On July 30, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., a panel discussion on the legacy and life of Eric Garner will be held at Canaan Baptist Church. The event will be hosted by Emerald Garner, daughter of the man whose controversial 2014 death sparked global outrage.
The following are scheduled to attend: Emery Garner, Eric Garner’s son, Eric Garner, Jr., Eric Garner’s son, Esaw Snipes Garner, widow of Eric and mother to four of his children, Korey Wise of "The Exonerated Five", Ashley Sharpton, Founder of NAN Youth Huddle and daughter of Rev. Al Sharpton, Ilyasah Shabazz, Daughter of Malcolm X, Etan Thoma, retired NBA player, Mr. Cheeks, Hip-Hop artist, Shaun King, Journalist and Activist, and Arnstar, musician and dancer.
