By Councilman, Ruben Diaz Sr.
District 18 Bronx County, New York

You should know that the “Abrazo Dominicano” Annual Banquet will be held July 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Maestros Restaurant, which is located at 1703 Bronxdale Ave in Bronx County.

The banquet is an annual activity that I have been organizing for years with Senator Luis Sepulveda, Assemblyman Marcos Crespo, Victor Pichardo and Councilman Rafael Salamanca.

This year, the event will be dedicated to Hon. Ruben Maldonado Diaz, President of the House of Congress in the Dominican Republic; Deputy Inspector Flerida Veras, the highest ranking Dominican woman in the New York City Police Department as Commander of 41st Precinct in Bronx County; Mr. Antonio Cabrera, Dominican entrepreneur and owner of “High Class Car Service”; Elizabeth de Leon Bhargava Esq., New York State Deputy Secretary for Labor & Workforce-Office of Governor Andrew Cuomo; and Mrs. Belkis Lora,  Dominican entrepreneur and president of the Grand Slam Family Club in the Bronx.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and there will be seats for the first 500 people. It will be a night of culture, folklore, food, and Dominican music.

For more information, call Leila Martinez at 718-792-1140 or Cecilia Hernandez at 718-991-3161.

I am Councilman Rev. Ruben Diaz and this is what you should know.
