Trump Facing Republicans Upset Over Border Policy

Trump's family separation policy has turned Hill Republicans into administration critics.

WASHINGTON — As President Donald Trump arrived on Capitol Hill Tuesday to talk immigration with congressional Republicans, he faced an unusually stiff headwind from his typically loyal allies: They're pushing back on him because they're worried about the effect of his policies on their electoral prospects in November.

"I support, and all of the Republican conference support, a plan that keeps families together while their immigration status is determined," said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
