Pentagon Spokesperson Dana White and Lt. Gen. Kenneth McKenzie respond
to questions on the Defense Department's role in planning for the
deployment of National Guard troops on the Mexico border. Ms. White says
the Pentagon is awaiting the outcome of talks between Homeland Security
Secretary Nielsen and border state governors as it prepares plans for
any National Guard deployments.
