The New York Department of State's Office for New
Americans and the Liberty Defense Project will host additional upcoming
seminars across the state to provide information and guidance on
immigration issues, including latest updates on the Trump
Administration's arbitrary termination of Temporary Protected Status for
El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras and Nicaragua.
"While
the federal administration continues to put in place shameful policies
that tear families apart and disrupt everyday lives, New York will
continue to fight for the American Dream of thousands of residents who
contribute to our society," Governor Cuomo said. "These
outreach efforts will help ensure impacted New Yorkers know their
rights and legal options and I encourage those impacted by these
disastrous changes to federal policy to attend these upcoming
seminars."
New York Secretary of State Rossana Rosado said,
"With the immeasurable help of our non-profit and advocate partners,
New York will continue to lead the way for immigrant rights. We urge
anyone facing undue hardships because of the Trump administration's
misguided immigration policies to understand the legal options
available."
