Friends of Maple Grove to Host Conversation on Immigration

On February 17, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Friends of Maple Grove will host a community discussion on immigration at the Victorian Administration Building. The site is located at 83-15 Kew Gardens Boulevard in Kew Gardens, New York. 

Participants will read “The New Colossus” by Emma Lazarus, originally published in 1883, and an anonymous poem on immigration. The discussion will follow. 

The event, which is free and open the public, will be moderated by Jo-Anne Raskin, a Friends of Maple Grove board member, lecturer and tour guide. Pre-registration is required.
