Diaz to Take the Oath of Office on December 21

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
By Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz
District 32 Bronx County, New York

You should know that this Thursday, December 21st, I will be taking his oath of office as the New York City Councilman for the 18th Council District in New York City.

This special ceremony will take place during the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization’s Annual Christmas Breakfast, which will take place at Maestros Caterers located at 1703 Bronxdale Avenue in Bronx County starting at 9:00 am.

It's important for you to know that the swearing in ceremony will be officiated by the New York City Clerk the Hon. Michael McSweeney who will travel to the Bronx for the occasion.

As you know after serving 16 years representing the residents of the 32nd Senatorial District, I decided to give up my Senate seat for the position of New York City Councilman, which I won in the general election on November 7 of this year.

During the clergy breakfast, the ministers will also conduct the swearing-in ceremony of their newly elected board of directors for the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization.

I will officially begin serving as a City Councilman on January 1st, 2018, at 12:01 am.

This is Senator Rubٞén Díaz, and this is what you should know.
