Supreme Court Hears Oral Argument in Wisconsin Gerrymandering Case


The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument for Gill v. Whitford, a case involving redistricting in Wisconsin. A lower court in 2016 ruled that the state’s 2011 map drafted by the Republican controlled legislature is partisan gerrymandering and therefore unconstitutional. The state of Wisconsin appealed the lower court’s decision before the high court.
